Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Novant Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the clinical and administrative functions of our healthcare practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process patient samples, maintain accurate records, and assist with basic examinations
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare practice staff to ensure efficient office operations and provide exceptional patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to explain medical procedures and provide education
  • Assist with medication administration, maintain patient confidentiality, and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification or registry preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with pharmacology and medication administration curriculum
  • Ability to obtain certification or registry within 6 months of hire
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
