We are seeking a part-time Clinical Instructor for our Dental Assisting program at the Pendleton campus.
About the Role:
- Lecture and/or lab settings using systematically planned and delivered instruction for the program
- Maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate level of achievement, and assign grades for the program
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach students in the on-campus clinic to instruct in clinical procedures and radiology
- Develop and deliver curriculum content for lecture and lab sessions
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
Requirements:
- DMD or DDS degree
- Background in and current knowledge of dental assisting, specific subjects being taught, and educational theory and methodology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in a higher education setting
- Familiarity with community college instructional methods and technologies
Working Conditions:
- This is a part-time position without benefits
- Courses are offered during the day at the Pendleton campus
Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $60,000, based on national averages for adjunct instructors in South Carolina.
