Position Summary:
The role of our drivers is essential to the recycling operations. They are responsible for completing multiple runs daily, visiting various customer locations to collect recyclable materials for processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a truck to collect metal within designated areas.
- Assist in loading by either the company or customers and transport loads to specified destinations.
- Ensure the load is secured based on the type of vehicle used.
- Adhere to company safety protocols consistently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and participation in monthly safety meetings.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to verify that the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding any delays, unsafe routes, accidents, or equipment issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid A CDL.
- Minimum of one year of prior commercial driving experience.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks is required.
- Must meet the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) safety standards.
