Martial Arts Coach Position

Impact Dojo is a dynamic organization that seeks a dedicated and skilled Martial Arts Instructor to join its team. As a key member of the staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality martial arts instruction to students aged 4-18 in a fun and safe learning environment.
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in teaching martial arts skills and techniques, with a proven track record of effective supervision and management of youth. A passion for teaching and mentoring children is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A minimum of two years of experience working with children, combined with at least one to five years of martial arts teaching experience, is required. Holding a teaching certification and a bachelor's degree are preferred but not necessary. Additionally, a child abuse clearance and criminal background check are mandatory for this position.
This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $40,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location. Impact Dojo is an equal-opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily martial arts instruction to students aged 4-18 with varying ability levels
- Demonstrate martial arts techniques, explaining principles behind them, and provide feedback on student progress
- Supervise students during group activities, focusing on behavior, health, safety, security, personal development, and skill acquisition
- Ensure student safety and well-being, enforcing martial arts rules and regulations
- Organize and prepare daily lesson plans in a creative and engaging manner
- Use effective classroom management skills to lead activities and create a positive atmosphere
- Collaborate with fellow Activity Specialists on daily responsibilities and serve as a positive role model to students
