Pediatric Critical Care Nurse

As a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse with the University of California, you will utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. You will function as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams, carrying out established nursing procedures and performing related duties as required. You will perform nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. You will also assist with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

About the Role
This is a per diem position, and you will be required to work at all UCSF Health locations. You will be part of the Pediatric Critical Care Resource Team, which provides nursing coverage to the Pediatric Critical Care units at the Mission Bay campus. You will be adaptable, taking on challenging assignments and providing staffing coverage where needed. You will work closely with different interprofessional teams and be cross-trained in caring for PICU, ICN, and Cardiac patients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have two years of recent RN experience in Pediatric Critical Care (PICU, NICU, or Peds CICU). You will also need to have active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California, active American Heart Association CPR Certification, active American Heart Association PALS Certification, and active NRP Certification. You will need to be flexible and able to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.
