Job Title: Chemist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemist II to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our Materials Science Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, you will be responsible for providing non-routine analytical support in the gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) test areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute all aspects of GPC testing, including mobile phase preparation, sample preparation, data collection, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Assist with the implementation of new methods and technologies in the Materials Testing Analysis and Characterization (MTAC) lab.
  • Review data documentation, data analysis, and reports from other analysts in similar test areas.
  • May train to and execute testing in other areas as needed.
  • Attend team meetings and provide updates on the progress of ongoing and long-term testing campaigns.
  • May lead special projects, write new procedures, and work plans for tests, and provide guidance in specialized analytical technologies.
  • Perform equipment maintenance activities as needed.
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience with a BS degree or 0-2 years of experience with an MS degree.
  • Experience with GPC or SEC or HPLC.
