Occupational Safety Leader

Primient is looking for a highly skilled Occupational Safety Leader to join our team. As the Local Health & Safety Team Leader, you will be responsible for driving our occupational safety initiatives and fostering a culture of safety within our organization.
About the Role:
Your key responsibilities include leading a team, designing and implementing effective Health & Safety Management Systems, evaluating H&S performance, conducting audits and reviews, and managing workplace injury claims. You will also engage all employees in relevant H&S initiatives, foster a culture of safety, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead a team that includes a Safety Administrator, a Safety Specialist, and a Safety Coordinator.Develop and implement key programs to enhance workplace safety and health.Manage performance and development for your department while establishing clear goals and objectives.Design, implement and advocate for robust Health & Safety Management Systems.Evaluate H&S performance to align with company goals and ensure accountability.Engage all employees in relevant H&S initiatives to foster a culture of safety.Conduct audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of H&S plans.Oversee tracking and resolution of all incidents and suggest improvements.Manage workplace injury claims, ensuring proper communication and swift employee returns to work.What You Bring to Us:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; CSP certification is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a process or food industrial environment.
- Previous management experience in safety.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in root cause investigation techniques.
- Familiarity with safety compliance standards is preferred.
- Knowledge of Safety Systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is a plus.
