$150,000 - $200,000 per year

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Physician to join our team as a Medical Director. This full-time position is located in Tucson, AZ, and involves working 100% on-site.

The selected candidate will provide clinical leadership and mentorship for clinical development and clinical trials conduct within our organization. They will work closely with colleagues from various functions, including Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Patient Engagement.

  • Provide clinical expertise in the conduct of clinical trials
  • Build relationships with internal and external medical professionals and local opinion leaders
  • Collaborate with the team on all aspects of clinical and scientific input and safety evaluation

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating study volunteers' eligibility for clinical trials
  • Performing physical exams and assessments as required per research protocols
  • Completing industry-required training
  • Assessing study patients' health through interviews and physical examinations
  • Communicating information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A current medical license in the state of hire
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology
  • Completed a three-year residency in an accredited gastroenterology program
  • Advanced knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent communication skills
