ROLE SUMMARY

Under the guidance and mentorship of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will execute tailored Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment strategies and behavioral intervention plans for children with Autism in both clinic and home environments. The RBT will diligently implement programs and gather data daily on personalized functional objectives for each client, ensuring effectiveness. RBTs will also help maintain a safe and organized environment for clients, staff, and families receiving services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver direct one-on-one and group ABA therapy.
  • Implement and document data on skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and functional living strategies.
  • Support parent and caregiver training in accordance with individualized client protocols.
  • Assist Lead RBTs and BCBAs with assessments and preparation of client materials as directed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the BCBA.
  • Utilize safe and appropriate handling techniques when working with clients.
  • Uphold client confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with team members in treatment planning.
  • Enhance technical knowledge by participating in required training sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Strong time management skills and capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Adherence to organizational policies and procedures, including the ethical standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Capability to interpret and apply clinical protocols.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation is required, with the ability to travel between different job sites.
  • A valid Driver's License and insurance in good standing are necessary.
  • Availability during standard business hours is required.
  • Willingness to conduct sessions in-home and/or in-clinic.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with children aged 0-16 in educational or one-on-one settings; familiarity with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; background in Educational, Speech, or Allied Health Services.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
