The Department of Psychiatry is committed to delivering cutting-edge psychiatric services through a comprehensive approach that emphasizes patient care, education, and research. Our goal is to cultivate a premier training environment for future leaders in psychiatry, advance neuroscience research, and innovate treatment methodologies for neurobehavioral disorders.
Position Overview- The Department encompasses a wide-ranging mission that includes research, clinical practice, and education.
- Academic-oriented role.
- Involves clinical management of complex cases in a tertiary care setting while engaging in the education of various learners, including medical students and residents, alongside opportunities for clinical research.
- Hospital-based role focused on emergency department coverage, psychiatric consultations on pediatric wards, and inpatient units, promoting a full spectrum of evidence-based medical practices with a multidisciplinary focus.
- Schedule: 7 nights on / 14 nights off (6 PM - 6 AM).
- 100% inpatient responsibilities.
- Board certification or eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- Possession of a valid medical license in Maryland or eligibility for licensure.
