Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Facility Biller/Coder to join our team. As a key member of our revenue operations team, you will be responsible for accurate and timely billing, coding, and reconciliation of complex accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Independently perform coding of complex accounts, including interventional cardiac catheterization lab and/or interventional radiology procedures, and diagnostic radiology tests.
  • Translate narrative information from billing encounter forms and orders into ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes.
  • Identify billing errors or missing revenue or charges based on raw data.
  • Monitor revenue reports and patient schedules daily.
  • Investigate and resolve issues to ensure charges and billing codes are entered in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience required.
  • Experience coding interventional cardiac catheterization lab and/or interventional radiology procedures, and diagnostic radiology tests.
  • Data entry, MS Word, MS Excel skills.
  • Experience in charge capture process or medical record review.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Documented proficiency in use of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding as required by position.
  • Knowledge of how to accurately use ICD-10 and CPT-4 books.
  • Sound knowledge of basic code structure is required.
