Nurse Specialist

We are seeking experienced Pre-Op/PACU nurses to join our dynamic platform at NurseDash. As a Perioperative Nurse, you will have the flexibility to choose your shifts and work in a variety of hospitals and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Review preoperative/postoperative physician orders to determine patient needs.
- Obtain and review patient medical history for accuracy upon admission.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare workers to provide appropriate follow-up actions.
- Utilize clinical experience and knowledge to anticipate potential patient care problems and collaborate with appropriate individuals.
- Perform and review assessment of patient, family members, and/or significant others' knowledge base, health care practices, attitudes of health and illness, and level of understanding.
- Plan patient care based on identified assessment analysis and established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgery to allow time for required preoperative care and to avoid surgical delays.
- Perform preoperative diagnostic procedures accurately and according to standards, policies, and procedures.
- Administer intravenous solutions and medications skillfully and correctly.
- Capable of completing admission/discharge information, physician orders, or other information data entry.
- Maintain standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.
- Evaluate patient care goals, quality and appropriateness of care provided, and patient outcomes.
- Effectively explain perioperative instructions, perioperative treatments, patient care principles, and nursing goals to patient and family/significant others.
- Must be a registered nurse with a valid RN license in the state you are applying for.
- Minimum of two years of Pre-op or PACU experience.
- BLS & ACLS.
