Security Officer

- Thoroughly understand and adhere to security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify and address potential security risks.
- Monitor and operate CCTV cameras and other security systems to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Lock and unlock areas as requested and maintain access control systems.
- Respond to incidents and complete incident reports in a timely and professional manner.
- Control the receipt and delivery of packages and ensure that all security protocols are followed.
- Create a safe and comfortable working environment for employees and visitors.
- Conduct thorough searches of personnel, bags, and packages to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Monitor and control employee and visitor access to the building.
- Attend regular in-service training sessions to stay up-to-date on security procedures and protocols.
- Maintain all security equipment and systems in good working order.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of security experience.
- A clear criminal record check.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and professional in appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid Georgia driver's license.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to physically perform the duties of the job, including demonstrating proficiency with security equipment.
- First aid certification and annual security policy and procedure tests.
