About the Role:
We are seeking a committed and patient-focused Certified Occupational Therapist to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. As a home health occupational therapist, you will work with patients who require post-acute rehabilitation solutions to develop, recover, or maintain their daily living and work skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans to support engagement in occupations that impact health, well-being, and life quality.
- Select and adapt appropriate occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct interventions.
- Apply evidence-based practices to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
- Teach clients new strategies for approaching tasks and educate them on breaking down activities into achievable components.
- Evaluate clients' homes and other environments and provide recommendations for alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and train clients in its use.
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
- Monitor and report on progress toward long-term and short-term treatment goals.
- Collect data and document processes followed.
- Maintain regular follow-up with clients to ensure ongoing support.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an occupational therapist.
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy.
- Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media.
- Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
- Able to manage patients with diverse personalities.
- Current knowledge of treatment practices within the profession and a commitment to ongoing learning and growth.
- Professional behavior.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- A valid license to practice occupational therapy.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy.
