Sanitation and Maintenance Technician

US Foods is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation and Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the division building and related property, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash bins.
  • Operate equipment such as trash compactors, scrubbers, and pallet jacks to perform duties.
  • Prevent and respond to spills and breakages, and determine if damaged products are resalable or must be disposed of.
  • Perform light maintenance duties, including replacing light bulbs and collecting recyclable materials.
  • Prepare reports and forms to document cleaning schedules, spillages, and product damage.
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous custodial experience preferred.
  • Able to read and write legibly, follow orders, and perform basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision and operate warehouse equipment.
Working Conditions:

This is a night shift position, working Sunday through Thursday from 9:00pm to 5:30am. The job requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position also requires occasional use of a forklift, pallet jack, and high lift.
