Job Summary

Maximize your impact as a Lead Early Childhood Teacher at Maximum Heights Academy, where we foster Higher Level Learning for Little People. As a key member of our team, you will develop and implement a comprehensive child development curriculum, ensuring the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child. Your expertise will be invaluable in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes learning and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a child-centered curriculum aligned with NAEYC Standards and Nebraska Core Competencies for Early Childhood Professionals.
  • Supervise staff and ensure effective implementation of child care routines, including diapering, potty training, hand washing, and mealtime.
  • Conduct regular safety checks, maintain a clean and organized classroom, and ensure compliance with child care licensing standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of child development, including progress notes and parent communication.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of curriculum and high standards of quality across all classrooms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (e.g., Psychology, Special Education, Music, Social Work).
  • At least two years of teaching experience, with a focus on early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of a teacher, including lifting and bending.
