We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Solutions team at Albireo Energy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing complex industrial controls projects, with a focus on delivering PLC and HMI/SCADA products utilizing industry-standard platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design and program PLC logic, ensuring efficient and reliable system operation.
- Develop and implement HMI/SCADA systems, providing users with intuitive and informative interfaces.
- Design and review electrical control circuits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform field activities, including installation, commissioning, and site investigations, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate complex engineering deliverables with project management, ensuring timely and within-budget project completion.
- Perform systems integrations using a wide variety of serial and ethernet protocols, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing, ensuring that systems meet required specifications and standards.
- Prepare sales proposals and review plans and specifications, providing valuable insights to customers and stakeholders.
- Meet and present to customers, internal and external, to discuss project progress and requirements.
- Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables, documenting project progress and outcomes.
- Mentor junior team members in a dedicated mentor/mentee relationship, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure team success.
- 3+ years of experience in controls systems engineering, including PLC/PAC programming, utilizing IEC-61131 languages.
- 3+ years of experience in HMI/SCADA design, programming, and database design.
- Exceptional candidates will have experience with GE Cimplicity/Historian and/or Inductive Automation Ignition, including large distributed architecture deployments.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical schematic design for control systems.
- 0-2+ years of experience in network engineering for OT/ICS networks.
- Certification with Moxa, Cisco, or Rockwell Automation Stratix is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with common industrial automation communication protocols, including Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and serial equivalents.
- Competitive hourly rate: $43-$60/hr, DOE.
