**About the Role**

The United States Air Force is seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented individuals to fill the position of Explosives Specialist. This critical role requires the management of all non-nuclear munitions processes, ensuring the safe storage, assembly, transportation, and accounting for advanced weapons systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the entire lifecycle of non-nuclear munitions, from receipt to disposal
  • Maintaining accurate records and inventory of ammunition and explosives
  • Conducting thorough inspections and quality control checks on all munitions-related equipment
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain operations
  • Providing expert guidance and training to junior personnel on explosives handling and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • A valid ASVAB score meeting the minimum requirements (Mechanical 60 or Electronics 57)
  • Completion of the Basic Munitions Systems course
  • Normal color vision and depth perception
  • No record of untreated emotional instability or domestic violence
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license to operate government motor vehicles
  • Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit
  • Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
  • Age between 17 and 42 years old
  • Citizenship of the United States
