Essential Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• No prior experience necessary; training will be provided on the job.
• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in customer service
• At least one (1) year of relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, which may include classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
- Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated locations.
- Regularly check and empty trash receptacles in all assigned areas as needed.
- Adhere to procedures for utilizing chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Inform the lead cleaner or manager about the need for minor or major repairs or enhancements to building systems.
- Foster effective communication and working relationships with clients, colleagues, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
- Collect, consolidate, and separate recyclable materials into appropriate containers.
- Dust and clean desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
- Polish hard surfaces, such as woodwork and stainless steel.
- Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in dining areas.
- Move furniture, boxes, and equipment to facilitate cleaning, either manually or using hand trucks.
- Clean interior glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools.
- Perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow.
- Ensure the cleanliness of restrooms by cleaning and polishing as necessary.
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining both carpeted and hard surface floors, including tasks such as stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing, and spot cleaning. Assist the Building/Account Lead with special projects as needed.
- Clean building floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming, following proper procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment.
- Dust and wash furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; clean ceilings and polish light fixtures.
- Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents or acids according to specifications.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as required.
- Clean and vacuum carpeted areas, including spot cleaning treatments.
