At Danone, we are seeking a highly skilled Associate Accountant to join our team in our Chatsworth, California manufacturing plant. As an Associate Accountant, you will play a critical role in analyzing production information, preparing cost variance reports, and settling production variances under the direction of the Plant Controller.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze daily production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and correct production order variances in SAP on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Analyze all variances that affect the plant and prepare reports to enable plant management to make informed decisions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly Material Loss Reports to manage plant operations effectively.
- Clear COGI's (error reports of material variances in SAP) and reconcile Batch Sheets, Blends, and Rework.
- Verify the accuracy of production postings and enter data for milk bulk receipts, verifying weight tickets.
- Responsible for Milk Cycle Counts and audit/analyze Master Data and BOM's.
- Support month-end close activities, which may require working during holidays and weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline and a minimum of 1 year of related work experience, with 2-3 years' experience preferred.
The successful candidate will have expertise in Excel, SAP, and ERP systems, with experience in CPG, Food, Dairy, and Beverage industries being a strong asset. They will be able to interact with all levels of the organization, multitask in a changing environment, and be a self-motivated and independent thinker.
