Paint Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Paint Engineer to join our team at Global Technology Associates. As a Paint Engineer, you will be responsible for leading planning, evaluations, and implementations for new colors and new materials in the Body Paint and Bumper Paint shops.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead planning, evaluations, and implementations for new colors and new materials
- Lead lab workability and online testing for new materials
- Establish necessary process controls and parameters for new materials/technologies
- Lead materials-related problem-solving efforts across multiple divisions
- Assess the environmental impact of new materials/technologies
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Field or related experience
- 2+ years of Project management working across multiple functions
- 1+ years in color and appearance evaluations
- 1+ years in paint design
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering or Material Science
- Experience in automotive manufacturing in paint production engineering
- Experience in paint application evaluation
- Experience in paint lab doing workability evaluations
This role requires approximately 15% travel to production facilities across North America. You will be required to travel to sites in the USA and Canada for approximately one week every six weeks.
Please note that if you are a current GTA employee or have been placed by GTA at one of our clients, we will not be able to entertain moving you. However, we are hopeful that you may know someone else who is qualified and as such you would still be eligible for our generous referral bonus program.
REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms.
