Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Opportunity

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse for a travel nursing assignment in San Diego, California.

This is a critical care float pool position, requiring Pediatric ICU experience. The ideal candidate will be willing to float to other units outside of the critical care units, including the Emergency Department. The nurse will care for all age ranges and levels of acuity, and must have experience with ventilators, trachs, and multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKG.

Requirements
  • CA License
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • 2 full recent years of Pediatric ICU experience

The nurse will work 3x12 variable or straight night shifts, with 4-5 weekend shifts on day shift and 5-6 shifts of Friday-Saturday nights. The traveler will get off one full weekend every 4-week schedule. Requested Time Off: Max 6 days (Must still get 3 shifts in per week). Must work 2 out of the 3 holidays.

The patient population includes high acuity patients with injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post-op cardiac surgical care, neurosurgery, trauma, hem-onc, DKA if PH or altered consciousness.
