Massage Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be well-versed in various massage techniques, and be attentive to each client's needs and physical condition.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform various massage techniques to provide relaxation and pain relief for clients
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for clients
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences for each session
  • Recommend and sell appropriate spa products to enhance clients' relaxation experiences
  • Uphold high standards of customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty
  • Assemble products for the client's skin and prep the massage table before they arrive
  • Cultivate a welcoming work environment by making positive relationships with clients and staff
  • Ensure client needs are met safely using the therapeutic massage technique that corresponds with their needs
  • Suggest other available products and services that can help meet the client's needs
  • Meet with each client to discuss any problems with stress or pain, and advise on types of massage and treatment
Qualifications:
  • A current NYS license is required, with prior customer service and/or hotel experience preferred
  • Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, mostly on your feet, and to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms, moving quickly and agilely if a situation arises requiring quick assistance
  • Proficiency in therapeutic massage techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, and reflexology
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and preference is given to candidates who have completed a massage therapy program
