The purpose of this role is to ensure efficient and effective setup and breakdown of conference and training rooms, as well as the auditorium, at ServiceSource. This position may also provide support for the conference center concierge desk, SCIF conference area, business center, and joint use pre-function area.
Key Responsibilities- Setup and Breakdown: Conduct setup and breakdown of meeting and training rooms, auditorium, and all other applicable conference center spaces.
- Equipment and Supplies: Ensure proper handling of all equipment and supplies.
- Facility Inspections: Conduct facility site inspections on a monthly basis to ensure condition and maintenance of property.
- Furniture Inventory: Conduct daily furniture inventory checks.
- Morning Checks: Perform routine morning checks to ensure all lighting is working and cleanliness of the room (trash removed, chairs and tables cleaned, etc...).
- Room Utilization: Perform daily rounds to track room utilization.
- Support to Custodial Staff: Assist custodial staff with house cleaning/disinfecting when required.
- Maintenance Concerns: Submit maintenance concerns accurately and promptly.
- Damage and Emergency Situations: Report damages and emergency situations promptly.
- Planning Meetings: Participate in daily and weekly planning meetings to review event details and discuss relevant logistical matters.
- Customer Service: Provide exemplary customer services by responding to requests in a professional and timely manner and displaying a positive demeanor.
- Training and Development: Participate in all other training required by funding source(s) and/or the Corporation.
- Lifting and Moving: Assist in lifting and/or moving 50lbs, carrying and moving luggage, boxes, furniture, and other similar items.
- Other Responsibilities: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma, General Educational Development (GED) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in hospitality or related industry preferred.
- Customer Service: Customer service oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Work well independently and as a contributing member of a team.
- Integrity and Accountability: High level of integrity and personal accountability.
- Communication: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to define problems and provide solutions.
- Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines on a daily basis.
- Performance: Maintain a high level of performance with limited supervision.
The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.
