The CT Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position requires a professional who is not only skilled in the technical aspects of CT imaging but also committed to patient care.

Certification Requirements
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
Job Responsibilities
  • The CT Imaging Specialist is a graduate of an accredited AMA program and holds a valid state license as a general radiographer.
  • Responsible for providing timely and accurate diagnostic imaging services to both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Key duties include performing a variety of imaging procedures such as basic radiographic techniques, fluoroscopy, portable imaging, C-arm procedures, and operating room imaging services.
  • Demonstrates expertise in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including but not limited to CT imaging of the head, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities, as well as conducting biopsy and drainage procedures.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of CT system processing, surgical and sterile techniques, and the administration of contrast media.
Qualifications
  • Registered with the ARRT.
  • Licensed as a general radiographer by the state.
  • Knowledgeable in surgical and sterile procedures.
  • Able to conduct studies with or without the use of contrast media.
  • Proficient in standard diagnostic CT scanning techniques.
Work Schedule
  • Shift: Tuesday - Friday.
  • On-call duties required, averaging 5 days per month.
Additional Information
  • Special skills or requirements include experience in General X-Ray and CT.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to assist the department with General X-Ray as needed.
