Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Manager to lead our Surgical Services team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care within the Main Operating Room.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of the Main Operating Room, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Effectively perform personnel tasks, including hiring, counseling, promoting, and disciplining staff as appropriate.
- Manage the performance of all OR personnel, including role expectations and performance reviews.
- Make continuous efforts to ensure cost-effective, efficient operations.
- Partner with surgeons to foster effective communication and surgeon satisfaction.
- Hold all clinic team members accountable to a high standard of professional behavior.
- Analysis of OR metrics to promote department efficiency, including productivity.
- Develop collaborative relationships with facility partners, including Infection Prevention, Quality, Risk Management, Instrument Processing, and Supply Chain.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission.
- Support/oversee department staffing and surgical volume expectations.
- Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
- At least one year previous experience in charge/supervisory or management position. At least two years clinical experience in specialty.
- Comprehensive knowledge of perioperative services.
