About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at The Bardstown Bourbon Company. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate an industrial dishwasher safely and efficiently, ensuring all dishes, glasses, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Load and unload the dishwashing machine, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Wash glassware and other kitchen items by hand, when necessary, adhering to strict sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting loads, emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, and maintaining cleaning supplies stock.
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor, to maintain a clean and safe environment for our staff and guests.
  • Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to management, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow, particularly during peak hours.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to speak fluent English.
  • No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and follow instructions is essential.
  • Commitment to working hard and being reliable, with a strong attention to detail and ability to follow sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, with frequent reaching, bending, and stooping.
  • Ability to safely operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a hot and humid environment, with a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
