Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate the acceptability of specimens for testing based on established criteria.
2. Execute routine and complex technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
3. Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure optimal functionality.
4. Make informed technical decisions regarding testing and problem resolution.
5. Prepare, assess, and validate new reagents or controls.
6. Deliver accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
7. Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control procedures, documenting all actions.
8. Manage and replenish testing bench supplies as needed.
9. Assist in specimen processing when required.
10. Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to personal protective equipment protocols.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology is required, along with meeting local regulatory requirements. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing is essential.
Additional Information:
Applicants must possess strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous. Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts may be necessary based on operational needs.
Flu vaccine compliance is required, with provisions for religious or medical exceptions.
