Key Responsibilities:
  • Round in patient waiting rooms to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment
  • Perform selected administrative duties and assist clinical staff with non-clinical tasks
  • Schedule and cancel patient appointments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Verify patient insurance and demographics to ensure accurate billing and records
  • Collect co-payments and coinsurance from patients
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for appointments
  • Take patient weights and vital signs as required
  • Prepare exam rooms with necessary equipment, supplies, and patient education materials
  • Adhere to and practice appropriate infection control policies and procedures
  • Assist with autoclaving of instruments and removing expired medications
  • Assist with room turnover and preparation for the next patient
  • Electronically file and retrieve medical records as needed
