About the Role:
Carson Tahoe Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide per diem services in our occupational therapy department. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with patients to develop and implement treatment plans that promote independence and functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Examine patient medical history and evaluate physical abilities to determine potential for therapy
- Develop and implement treatment plans to promote independence and functionality
- Educate patients and families on occupational therapy methods
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) and Rehabilitation Technicians in the delivery of occupational therapy services
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate from a nationally accredited occupational therapy program
- Occupational Therapy licensure in the State of Nevada or current interim permit
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- MRI experience/training
- Ortho and Stroke experience highly preferred
- Experience working with adult/geriatric/general population preferred
