Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments, including investigational protocols, under the guidance of a medical oncologist.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
- Supervise and mentor non-licensed nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, with a compact license accepted.
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting within the last three years, with oncology experience highly preferred.
- ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Associate Degree.
