About the Role

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team at our senior skilled nursing facility in Waconia, MN. As a CNA, you will serve as caregiver to our residents during scheduled work periods, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs
  • Providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents
  • Assisting residents with meals and snacks, and providing water and supplements as needed

You will also be responsible for:

  • Aiding providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed
  • Documenting resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Communicating resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED), preferred but not required
  • A minimum age of 16
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care, preferred
  • A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
