Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Know and live the mission and values of White Lodging, including providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
  • Complete all necessary setup, side work, and closing duties as assigned.
  • Check the restaurant before, during, and after shifts for cleanliness and remove any debris.
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their ingredients, and preparation methods, and be prepared to answer any guest questions in a direct and concise manner.
  • Know any daily features and specials the restaurant is offering and use suggestive selling techniques to increase the check average.
  • Take guest orders correctly, read the order back to the guest, and ring orders correctly into the point-of-sale system.
  • Check food presentation before serving it to guests, ensuring it is hot and fresh.
  • Check guest satisfaction with food quality within two bites and make adjustments as needed.
  • Present checks correctly, free from errors, and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all White Lodging cash handling policies and end-of-shift paperwork procedures.
  • Follow all White Lodging policies and procedures for work, attendance, and safety.
  • Learn and maintain all information regarding the hotel and engage in pre-shift meetings to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Promote teamwork and a friendly, safe work environment.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.
  • Follow all White Lodging standards for uniform and personal appearance.
  • Be knowledgeable of all bar products and be able to make conversation with guests to create a personal connection.

Requirements:

  • Outgoing, sociable, and personable personality.
  • Eye for detail and excellent oral and hearing skills.
  • Passion for service and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to handle high volume and work under pressure.
  • Multitasking and reliability skills.
  • Customer service skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Organized and flexible work schedule.
  • Previous restaurant or bar experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Previous customer service role preferred, but not essential.

Working Conditions:
