Position Overview

The Packaging Operations Specialist is accountable for the meticulous inspection, labeling, and packaging of both clinical and commercial products. This role involves executing finished product packaging to meet various demands, including customer and internal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all finished products are packaged in strict adherence to established procedures and quality specifications.
  • Conduct inspections of in-process packaging and components to guarantee consistent quality, while removing any defective products and packaging materials.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all manufacturing activities related to product packaging, including device history records and inventory counts.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations necessary for the completion of batch records.
  • Assist in inventory counting activities as needed.
  • Engage in safety audits and participate in daily safety discussions and observations.
  • Carry out routine cleaning of the packaging station and processing equipment.
  • Adhere to all personal protective equipment and product contamination control requirements.
  • Handle hazardous waste appropriately.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 6 months of relevant industry experience. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with computers and various software for general business functionality.

Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, which may include static or rotating shifts and overtime as required.
