IT Infrastructure Architect

Mathy Construction Company, a leading hot mix asphalt production, paving, and aggregate business, is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team.

We are looking for a talented professional to design, implement, and maintain our Enterprise Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Server Operating Systems, VMware, and enterprise storage systems, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Configure and manage Windows Server in a VMware environment
• Deploy and manage VMware components
• Manage changes to server configurations following IT management and security guidelines
• Maintain configuration documentation
• Provide support for escalated end-user issues and trouble ticket resolution
• Evaluate and analyze new technologies and vendor products relating to existing and future business requirements
• Implement and support infrastructure solutions in a team environment
• Maintain the health of systems by identifying and applying patches and firmware upgrades
• Document and implement configuration standards for utilization and manageability of datacenter systems
• Ensure stability of all services by monitoring for trends of issues and growth

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years experience in a Server Administrator role
• 3+ years experience working with Server Operating Systems, VMware, Veeam Backup software, Anti-virus and related technologies in an enterprise environment
• Enterprise storage systems in an iSCSI SAN configuration
• Microsoft Office 365 family of products
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
• Strong understanding of monitoring, capacity management, and provisioning related to supporting and enhancing large Windows hosted applications and virtualized infrastructures
