The University of Virginia is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Weekend Program team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to a variety of complex patients, utilizing your clinical expertise and judgment to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Assume a leadership role in the Weekend Program, mentoring and precepting new team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
- Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia; American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands:
- Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping.
- Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
- Ability to lift/push/pull lbs.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate: $53.00
- Travel allowance available for eligible employees traveling greater than 75 miles one way.
- Premium paid part-time and full-time positions available.
