You will work collaboratively with other healthcare team members and correctional officers to plan and implement patient care activities.
As a Nursing Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to a mission-driven organization that values compassion, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic nursing care to patients under the direction of licensed nurses, including assistance with ADLs, vital sign measurement, and accurate documentation of patient data.
- Maintain professional behavior and prioritize work flow to ensure completion of all assigned duties, while adhering to policies and procedures and promoting patient safety and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, participate in staff meetings and training sessions, and notify the licensed nurse of any patient concerns or issues.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of nursing procedures and proficiently use medical supplies and equipment, while also ensuring their proper storage and cleaning.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of training course for Nursing Assistants.
- Ability to handle a variety of simple tasks that are routine in nature, while keeping work flowing in an orderly manner.
- Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to pass and maintain clearance for a Public Trust Position, if working with specific patients.
- Ability to express thoughts logically, in English, in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to use computers and the typical software such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and various database systems.
