Overview: In the role of Senior Estimator at PAUL JOHNSON DRYWALL-NV, you will take charge of a team of estimators dedicated to performing quantity takeoffs and formulating cost assessments for drywall installations over wood framing in various residential projects, including single-family residences, tract developments, and townhome complexes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of PAUL JOHNSON DRYWALL-NV's standard estimating protocols.
  • Delegate projects to junior estimators for quantity takeoff tasks.
  • Provide mentorship and support throughout the takeoff process.
  • Evaluate quantity takeoffs for precision and compile detailed project cost estimates.
  • Establish a review system for junior estimators' outputs to ensure prompt bid submissions.
  • Draft proposals, bid sheets, scopes of work, and other essential documentation.
  • Respond to client inquiries and clarify the scope of work, making necessary adjustments.
  • Deliver Value Engineering (VE) support to clients.
  • Relay feedback and recommendations to the Director of Estimating.
  • Facilitate the transition of projects to other teams following contract completion.
  • Keep project updates current, including adjustments for materials, labor, and model changes.

Responsibilities Not Included:

  • Estimating for multiple scopes of work.
  • Modifying job costing masters.
  • Reviewing or signing contracts.
