Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. in a Weekend Option position. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Position patients for exams and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the procedure
  • Assist with patient preparation and positioning for exams
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality imaging
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited MRI program or ARRT-R certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients, preferably in an MRI clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MRI equipment and procedures
  • Knowledge of anatomy and pathology as it relates to MRI imaging
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
