Job Title: Dishwasher

Job Summary:

A Dishwasher at Trex Mart provides critical support to the management team by maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant's kitchen and dining areas. This role involves a range of tasks, including washing and sorting dishes, preparing food, and ensuring the dish area is organized and clutter-free.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Properly wash, stack, and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
  • Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks, and ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Change water in machines and sinks as required by health department standards.
  • Assist in the timely storage of food deliveries and maintain trash cans throughout the shift.
  • Maintain the dry storage area and organize storage shelves.
  • Follow posted daily dish cleansing procedures and assist in bussing tables as needed.
  • Sweep, mop, and perform general cleaning tasks as directed.
  • Provide operational support to the Restaurant Manager and ensure all activities conform to Trex Mart policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with all staff members and react to changes productively.


Requirements:

  • Prolonged standing and physical exertion to manually move, lift 55 lbs., carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  • Occasional stooping, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders or step stools.
  • Some travel may be required.


Classification: Non-Management

Wage: Hourly Non-Exempt
