Kids' Health Specialist Job Opening

We are looking for a seasoned Kids' Health Specialist to join our pediatric healthcare team at Methodist Children's Hospital. As a dedicated and compassionate expert, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care services to children and their families.

About the Role:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical staff, social workers, and case managers, to create personalized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
  • Conduct home visits, conduct thorough assessments of children's living environments, and identify potential safety hazards.
  • Provide education to caregivers on topics like nutrition, hygiene, first aid, and childcare best practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate home-based interventions and community resources to address issues affecting a child's physical or emotional well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, schools, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
  • Facilitate connections to local social service organizations, advocacy groups, and charitable entities to support children's developmental progress.
Requirements:
  • An associate's degree or higher in nursing, social work, or a related field; and relevant work experience working with children and families.
  • Ability to work independently, handle sensitive information confidentially, and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, willingness to travel between locations, and capability to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
Wages:

This position comes with an estimated annual salary of $76,200 - $103,000, dependent on your background and skills.
