Job Title: Plant Operator

Horizon Ag-Products is a leading manufacturer of soluble humus products for agriculture. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Operator to join our team in Cuba, NM.

Job Summary:

The Plant Operator will be responsible for the production and distribution of our product line, including controlling inventory and maintaining the facility and equipment. This is a critical role that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing products according to specifications, including writing purchase orders for raw materials
  • Packaging products for delivery, including loading and unloading trucks and using pallet jacks
  • Delivering products when necessary and arranging transport for shipping, including writing bills of lading
  • Operating and maintaining company vehicles and forklifts in good working condition
  • Inventory control, including daily checks and month-end reports to ensure sufficient materials are available
  • Quality control, including testing products during manufacturing and shipping samples for lab tests
  • Machinery and equipment maintenance, including cleaning and repairing as needed to ensure efficient production
  • Facility maintenance, including cleaning the warehouse, office, and surrounding yard area to maintain a professional appearance
Requirements:
  • Lifting capacity of [insert pounds]
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • General knowledge of machinery operation and repair
  • Ability to operate a forklift and pass forklift training
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screening
Working Conditions:

This is a 12-hour shift position, 4-6 days per week, with days and nights available. The Plant Operator will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.
