Our 63-bedroom community is located on four beautiful acres in a serene environment. Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Memory Care Residential Care Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Executive Director in the care and medication needs of our Assisted Living and Memory Care Wings.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for training, scheduling, and managing an effective team of medication technicians and caregivers.
- Ensure Department is compliant with all regulatory requirements at all times.
- Available to support the team and ensure adequate staffing levels exist at all times.
- Ensure resident care is being done per assessment and documenting the care provided.
- Responsible for conducting and overseeing medication audits.
- Assist and manage resident emergencies.
- Responsible for maintaining current resident care assessments for all residents.
- Involved in new resident admissions and manages current levels of care to ensure resident care needs are being met at all times.
- Interacts with hospice nurses, in-home care providers, and families to ensure our staff is current with resident needs.
- Oversees the medication room to ensure orders are current, medication administration records are being followed, and does periodic audits to ensure compliance.
- Coordinates and oversees all continuing education for care staff.
- Must have a flexible work schedule and be available to respond to care and staffing emergencies that may arise.
- Must be good with a computer and modern software programs and cloud storage and be able to quickly become familiar with our Resident Electronic Medication Administration Record (EMAR) software solution.
- Responsive to emails and voicemails.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Resident Care Coordinator, Medication Technician, or Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Previous supervisor or management experience.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures.
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Understands the importance of teamwork.
- Must be reliable, hard-working, upbeat, work well with others, a team player, and have a can-do attitude.
