Job Information

This role is responsible for the site management of an insulation/sheet metal contract. The Field Manager will maintain weekly job progress reports, coordinate the expedition of required material, consumables, tools equipment, and site inventory. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including job progress reports, material inventory management, timekeeping, creating and managing miscellaneous reports, engaging in various activities, managing equipment and tool inventory, and work release and scheduling.

The successful candidate will have an Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management or similar preferred. Previous experience working in construction is also required. About APi Construction Company

APi Construction Company is a national scope contractor working extensively across the Lower 48 and occasionally in Canada. As a Field Manager, you will be required to work full-time at the jobsite as determined by the company. Field Management is typically required at most projects 3 to 12 months in duration.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare weekly job progress reports, field verifying physical installation of materials and associated man-hours.
  • Assist in preparation of progress payment requests (invoices) for submittal to customer.
  • Write correspondence as directed by the Project Manager which may be pertinent to the project.
  • Maintain organized inventory files for material, equipment, and tools.
  • Evaluate the completion status of the job and use this information to anticipate and eliminate production or scheduling problems.
  • Submit Daily Time Sheets to customer.
  • Update project schedules to keep both the project team and customer informed of progress.
  • Working knowledge of blueprints and project specifications.
  • Perform material takeoffs and expedite materials.
  • Current knowledge of construction safety and QA/QC.
  • Obtain written work releases from customer and update release log.
  • Identify, track, and document additional work.
  • Work closely with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager to insure a harmonious team effort.
  • Identify areas of available work and ensure required materials are in inventory.
  • Attend customer meetings as directed.
  • Orientation and training of new hires.
  • Maintain latest revisions of prints.
  • Prepare special reports and complete other projects as directed.
