Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CVICU Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of caregivers to provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care to patients with complex heart conditions, including those who have undergone open-heart surgery and heart transplants.
- Administer prescribed medications and perform various medical procedures, including hemodynamic, phlebotomy, and IV protocols.
- Take samples for diagnostic tests, order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to inform patient care.
- Apply advanced critical care skills, including CPR and defibrillator operation, to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Educate patients and their families on how to manage recovery at home, promoting a smooth transition from hospital to home care.
Requirements:
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- 2+ years of experience in a CVICU or similar critical care environment
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
