Duke University Health System is seeking to hire an experienced Registered Nurse who is committed to our mission of Advancing Health Together. Qualified candidates will be eligible for a $15,000 commitment bonus.
Department Profile:
Our team of hematologists and oncologists at Duke University Health Systems provides comprehensive treatment options for various cancer types.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional nursing care to patients in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
- Guide and support nursing staff in delivering high-quality care.
- Collect and analyze patient data to develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of twelve months of relevant clinical experience is required, with oncology experience preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's, Associate's, or Diploma) is necessary.
- Registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in a BSN program within two years of hire and complete it within seven years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient understanding of nursing processes and patient care needs.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to document and communicate patient information accurately.
- Competence in basic life support and specialized life support as required.
