Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., including overtime as necessary.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is accountable for the upkeep of instrumentation and PLC systems within the milling facility. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of PLC programming and ladder logic, or be willing to undergo training.
Responsibilities include planning, installing, and repairing a diverse range of sophisticated equipment, such as automated machinery, process controls, control panels, relays, circuit breakers, and electronic control systems.
Continuous education is encouraged to remain aligned with industry advancements; learning programming languages will be supported as time allows. Engage in tasks typically associated with troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical systems within the plant and its facilities.Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, maintain accurate records, and report any malfunctioning equipment or unsafe conditions to the designated personnel.
Ensure that the workspace and equipment are kept in a tidy and organized manner.Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical or industrial automation is required.
- An associate degree, state-recognized apprenticeship/license, or a combination of education and practical experience is necessary.
- Attention to detail and a self-motivated, customer-oriented approach are essential.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficiency in advanced mathematical concepts and the ability to interpret complex drawings, schematics, and specifications is required.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn throughout the workday. Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs. as needed, distinguishing colors, climbing to various heights using ladders, and wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in the food or chemical manufacturing sector is advantageous.
