Trauma Advocate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Trauma Advocate to join our team at La Frontera Center Inc. in Tempe, Arizona. As a Trauma Advocate, you will play a critical role in providing support and services to victims of trauma, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Oversee and process new referrals to ensure timely needs are met.
• Provide intake and needs assessments to determine immediate and long-term needs for victims.
• Develop and implement safety plans and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with victims to create action plans that meet their needs.
• Provide emotional and informational support to victims.
• Act as a liaison between victims and other social service agencies, police agencies, and court personnel.
• Perform personal advocacy services, including assisting victims and their families in securing rights and services.

• Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or behavioral health related field preferred.
• Bilingual - Spanish speaking ability required.
• Knowledge of effective crisis interventions and comprehensive understanding of the effects of significant trauma and principles of Trauma-Informed Care.
• Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, and recognize personal limitations.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License with no major infractions in the past three years.
• Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one.
