Position Overview:
The Assistant Residential Manager plays a crucial role in delivering direct support and assisting the manager in the effective operation of the residence. This position involves oversight of staffing and related programs for individuals with developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver direct support to residents, ensuring their needs are met in a compassionate manner.
2. Assist in supervising and guiding staff to maintain a supportive environment.
3. Foster a homelike atmosphere by serving as a positive role model.
4. Oversee the implementation of services tailored to residents' needs.
5. Maintain precise documentation related to house operations and resident services.
6. Participate actively in mandatory meetings and training sessions.
7. Provide assistance with on-call responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is essential.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
- A personal vehicle is necessary for fulfilling job duties.
- Must obtain and uphold certifications in CPR/First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in basic office equipment and software is expected.
