Job Title: Class A CDL Driver

Are you a skilled Class A CDL driver looking for a challenging and rewarding role? Ryder is seeking a dedicated and experienced driver to join our team as a Class A CDL driver.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious driver to operate a tractor-trailer combination in a regional setting. As a Class A CDL driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination in a regional setting, transporting goods and materials across the country.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues or concerns to the dispatcher.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe and secure driving environment.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers, providing updates on delivery status and any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Class A CDL with endorsements for Hazmat and doubles/triples.
  • At least 9 months of experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
